Try this new curriculum Civil War Curriculum from the California H-SS Project.  It is the first in a series of innovative curricula developed by the History Blueprint Team at CHSSP.  It combines historical investigation, carefully selected primary sources, activities to strengthen reading and writing, and practice evaluating arguments based on historical evidence.  This comprehensive unit includes: background materials, detailed lesson plans, assessments, and  visual resources.It is aligned with both the CA H-SS Standards and the Literacy in H-SS of the Common Core Standards of English Language Arts.
