An Exploration in History & Social Science: A 21st Century Shift

An Exploration in History & Social Science: A 21st Century Shift, supports the rollout of California‚Äôs History-Social Science Framework.  The new History and Social Science Framework encourages teachers to organize their instruction around questions of significance for students to explore, analyze, think critically, read, write, and communicate
clearly.

In this one-day, multi-workshop offering, San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools, in collaboration with the Riverside County Office of Education, will provide History and Social Science teachers the opportunity to explore workshops that highlight the shifts in the new History and Social Science Framework.

A special guest, Teresa Hudock, from the University of Southern California (USC), will present The Four Worlds of History; a simple framework that manages a ton of information and creates an epiphany in the field of teaching history that will enable to students to tackle more content with greater detail and depth.
