Experience a Model United Nations Conference sponsored by the California Centers on International Development (CITD). If you are a middle or high school faculty member or school administrator interested in bringing a Model United Nations program to your school, this event is for you. Apart from witnessing a MUN conference first hand come partake in our "How to Start a MUN" workshop. The event is free and faculty can earn a paid stipend for the day.  Lunch and beverages provided as well.

Model United Nations (MUN) is a non-contextualized learning experience where students take the role of a country in conference style debate over international topics. MUN is a globally recognized activity that builds leadership, public speaking, critical thinking, and teamwork among all whom attend. Conference topics demand students spend time researching and deliberating complex issues such as: terrorist prevention, poverty reduction, and economic development, all on the global scale. Students will cooperate with delegates from across the county. They may leverage this interest into an international career after high school or continue to be a delegate in MUN while in college.
