Resources and refreshments provided. Participants need to purchase a Great Decisions 2016 briefing book (see below) and read the topic before the session.


TOPICS, SPEAKERS & DATES
Session 1 - April 5 – Overview Meeting

                   Distribute books and review topics and procedures. The series is mix of facilitated discussion with video and speakers plus discussion.
Discussion on the topic "Rise of ISIS" facilitated by Diana Stiller. Norco H.S.

Session 2 - April 12 – The UN at 70 – A New Economic Development Agenda for a World in Crisis
       Read Gr. Decisions Topic 6.  Talk by Dr. Kevin Grisham, Assist. Prof. Geography and Environmental Studies, coach of the CSUSB Model UN.  President of UN Association USA – Inland Empire Chapter, Ike Khamisani is invited.

Session 3 - April 19 – NOTE TOPIC CHANGE!

Session 4 - May 3 – Climate Geopolitics: The Road to Paris and Beyond

McKenna College with discussion.
 
Session 5 - May 10 - NOTE NEW DATE! International Migration – A Struggle to Develop Workable & Humane Policies
                   Read Gr. Decisions Topic 4.  Discuss Migration videos and Interview with Glocally Connected Director
                   Sherry MacKay & Selin Yildiz Nielsen and one of their refugee/immigrant clients

Session 6 - May 17 – U.S. – Cuban Relations: Are the Two Nations Ready for Change?
        
Read Gr. Decisions Topic 8. Talk by Dr. Paul Ryer, Assist Professor of Anthropology, UC Riverside & Cuba specialist.

Teachers are $30 for the series. Students are free.
