Come and learn how visual literacy is incorporated into the Common Core classroom and promotes critical thinking. Participants will incorporate image sources, tech tools and lesson ideas into their teaching arsenal. Applications for teacher delivery and student activities will be discussed. Learn how to create motivator posters and utilize them as a unit introduction, warm up, or student activity. Create interactive timelines with HSTRY to promote collaboration and engagement in the classroom. Have students demonstrate concepts by creating a magazine cover. Leverage Voicethread for image analysis and student collaboration. Utilize Thinglink to tag images and foster inquiry and present information in an infographic with Piktochart. The possibilities are endless...
